We picked Gather as the conference platform for our invited guests. In contrast to Teams and Zoom, this is not a barren video wall with a bunch of black tiles, but a lively little world with pixelated avatars. For this, we have recreated our physical Cologne office in glorious pixel graphics. Sarah and Sina give a virtual office tour, show how people can talk to each other in Gather, and reveal why there are so many go-karts standing around.
